What is Tep Wireless?
In simple words, Tep Wireless is a telecom provider company of UK that offers internet to travelers. The company manufactures pocket-sized portable Wi-Fi devices which provide internet access in more than 100 different countries around the world. The latest Tep Wireless devices deliver 4G hi-speed internet. The Tep Wireless package comes with a charging adaptor and a charging cable. A fully charged Teppy can work seamlessly for 13 freaking hours!

How does Tep Wireless Work?
Teppy basically works like a mini wireless router, which creates a Wi-Fi hotspot as soon as it is turned on. Tep Wireless has collaborated with the major telecom service providers of the countries in which the device operates; therefore, as soon as it is turned on, it receives the signal of the mobile operator in the region and DANG you’re connected with the internet!
Just like a hotspot device, all you need to do is to enter the password one-time which comes with the device and you are good to go. Mobile, laptop, tab all sorts of devices can be connected with a Teppy. A maximum of 5 devices can be connected with Teppy at one time.
How To Get Tep Wireless & How Much Does It Cost?
There are two ways of getting the Tep Wireless portable Wi-Fi device.

Pay a one-time cost of $129 and get yourself a Teppy. For the data, you can pay on the go at the cost of $7.95 per day whenever connected (in a country where Tep Wireless operates). - Rent a Teppy
If you are not a frequent traveler then renting out a Teppy is the best way to go! You can get an internet plan based on your trip – for a short staycation or a week-long holiday. You can get your Teppy delivered to an address or you can collect it from the airport as well, at the normal shipment costs of your country (check with the customer support regarding device collection and delivery).

What Does The Teppy Package Contain?
The Tep Wireless package comes with more goodness than the device itself and its charging adaptor. Extras which can be bought along with the device include –
- Call and Text abroad (Paid Service)
You can call and SMS to other Tep users worldwide for FREE by downloading the free Tep+ app available on Apple store and Google Play. To call a non-teppy user, minimal call charges will apply which can be seen on the app during the call or after sending the SMS.
- Prime WI-Fi (Paid Service)
The purchase of Prime Wi-Fi service enables in-flight internet access with more than 60+ million hotspots all around the world.
- Tep Guru (Free Service)
Seek local travel advice and learn about the non-touristy gems of a city by using Tep Guru which is a Tep+ service that helps you to connect with a local expert of a city. It can be accessed through the Tep+ app.
- Kitestring (Free Service)
Kitestring is basically a digital “Let me know when you are home”. Didn’t get me? Well, Kitestring is an automated service that checks on you if you have checked-in your hotel or reached your destination. All you need to do is to set up an alarm message and Kitestring will send your emergency contacts an alert if you haven’t done the alarm activity. My brown parents love this feature of Tep Wireless!
Tep Wireless Review – Customer Support
Tep Wireless has a 24/7 customer support and can be reached out by call and email. My personal experience with Tep Wireless customer support has been great so far! Back in May, my trip to Saudi Arabia just got finalized on a very short notice. I emailed Tep Wireless customer support to reload me for Saudi Arabia just exactly 24hrs before my flight with low expectations to receive a reload in due time because of the short notice. But guess what? They were super quick in reloading my data for my trip making it all so easy and hassle-free for me!
My Personal Experience Using Tep Wireless
Dubai
I used Tep Wireless for the very first time in Dubai – where I went to attend the Arabian Travel Mart this April and needless to say it was such a life-saver! If you’ve been to Dubai, you will be aware of the exorbitant tourist sim prices there. My Teppy helped me in saving a lot of my hard earned money by not buying an expensive Dubai tourist sim. It also enabled me to ditch the crappy Wi-Fi in public transports and I worked seamlessly in the metro and during the long bus rides as well. Quite surprisingly, Tep Wireless showed full connectivity on my small leisure trip to the top of the Jebel Hafeet Mountain in Dubai where it was expected for the signals to drop significantly.

Saudi Arabia
According to the lovely guys at Tep Wireless, I was one of the first people to use Tep Wireless services in Saudi Arabia. I used my Teppy in Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah and it offered full connectivity in all the three cities! Considering that Makkah is a mountainous city, Tep Wireless signals didn’t drop even for a second there, which was quite astonishing. As I was in Saudi for religious purposes and tend to spend long hours in the mosque, my Teppy battery didn’t betray me for once! When the Tep Wireless guys say the battery lasts for 13hrs, they mean it!
Turkey
Just last week I came back from a super hectic FAM trip across Turkey. I happened to visit some small mountain towns and villages where there was a huge probability of a network drop but my Teppy didn’t let that happen! I traveled across four cities starting from Istanbul, to the small town of Tokat, Sivas and lastly to Cappadocia with Tep Wireless being my full-time loyal travel buddy! It also greatly helped me to bear the never-ending traffic hauls of Istanbul! When my fellow travelers were all cranky for being stuck in the traffic for long hours, I enjoyed browsing Instagram and watching videos on YouTube only because of my Teppy. Felt like a queen that day…
Tep Wireless Review – Final Verdict
This Tep Wireless review is written in all honesty. Needless to say – I absolutely love Tep Wireless! This has been my best travel gadget so far for all the amazing reasons I mentioned above. It really doesn’t matter if you are a frequent traveler and a seasonal one – Tep Wireless has plans and packages to meet every traveler’s need. Even after looking for the smallest of the drawback, I wasn’t able to find one in Tep Wireless. After using the device in three different countries, I am more than happy to maintain this long-term relationship with my Teppy. I highly recommend it with all my faith and love.
